This is a great 8 minute film about science education on video. And about the value of tackling misconceptions. And about the idea that people learn less from things they think are clear and concise than from things they find complex or challenging.

Is this applicable in other circumstances? I bet it is.

nightriders gone, nightriders slipped away*

We did the Nightrider at the weekend. 100K around London. 1am until about 7.30. Saw the London nightscape from Alexandra Palace, saw the sunrise at Crystal Palace. Both beautiful. Got back to North London and jumped in the Park Road Lido. Very cold. It was great. Highly recommended if you want to cycle through the night around London for a good cause.
