Phil finished the Pepys' Diary project last week. It was a big, big moment. I'm very glad I managed to think ahead enough to write something about it for Wired before it happened, and very grateful to the Wired folk for squeezing it in. It's probably not the best thing I've ever done but it is the most sincere. Phil is a genuine internet hero.

making it a thing

Ben gave me my stickers today, for the London Nightrider Audax. Someone asked what the BRIG Cycling Club was. We explained - sometimes a few of us from BERG/RIG and other places go for nice long bike rides. That's all it is. As they said; fifty years ago we'd have had a club secretary and membership rules. We don't really need any of that, but Ben makes stickers, and stickers make it into a thing, a proper thing. It's nice.

Incidentally, this sticker is for the Nightrider - a 100k ride through the night that me, Anne, James and Ben are doing. We're doing it (partly) to raise money for Shelter, if you felt inclined to sponsor us, that would be very kind. (And huge thanks to everyone who's already sponsored us.)
