makies ahoy

archibald makie

We have a history of illustrious tenants. First BERG, now the Makies. And the Makies have had a good week. They got more funding, and, properly excitingly, their Open Alpha Makies are starting to get shipped and appear in the world. This is ours - Archibald.

These are some other possible eyes. Always nice to have options.

This is his action science outfit.

It is so goddam thrilling to see the Makies shipping stuff. More atoms!

convoy day

Today, in my head, is Convoy Day. That's because in CW Mcall's Convoy the date is the sixth of June:

Was the dark of the moon on the sixth of June / In a Kenworth pullin' logs.

So I thought I'd post it to This Is My Jam. And I posted the version that had lots of footage of the movie they made, based on the song. But then I listened to it again, just now, and I realised that this version is set on the seventh of June. It seems to be a continution of the same story, re-recorded for the film.

This seems unusual to me. A film based on a song. And a song re-recorded as its own sequel. Set the next day.

Anyway. Bet you're glad I'm blogging again.
