I saw this posted on a wall this morning. It looks so fresh and new. I presume the MU are still saying this, but are they still issuing these iconic stickers? I can't find any evidence on their website. And there's not a lot of discussion of what exactly constitutes live music. I presume a DJ isn't a musician in their world, but is she if she does enough 'turntablism'? and what about karaoke? is that live music?
It's marvellous the way a sticker can transform someone into a walking, talking advertisement for a cause. Pound to a penny, these were only worn by musicians. Reminds me of a (um) Cliff Richard lapel sticker that went around at the time of his album 'I'm nearly famous'.

I seem to remember seeing an MU ad saying "DJs are musicians too" around the early - mid 90s. I guess they decided that was a growing constituency.
