Wandered over to Millenium Park at lunchtime and saw a recital going on in the sweltering heat. Lovely to see the orchestra in shorts. The Gehry pavilion is a fantastic thing.
The only problem with both that, and the Anish Kapoor sculpture is when it's sunny, they're very hard to look at .

A little too late for the conference dialogue but just wanted to add that I hoped people got to the Plensa Fountain in the Millennium Park. See pictures on their website http://www.millenniumpark.org/artandarchitecture/crown_fountain.html
We talked much about observation during the conference and this fountain offered a great opportunity to view children and their behavior - uninhibited by the conformity/herding guardrails that will form around each individual through maturity. I thought this was a true perspective of how humans behave - it's in each and every one of us but as we get older, it's hidden by more and more layers of protection.
