We had a brilliant time at Brockwell Lido this morning. It's a fantastic outdoor pool (and more) in South East London that's been a summer retreat for people since 1937. It's brilliant that you can be in the middle of town and swimming and lazing like you're in some Floria resort (the weather helps of course).
Arthur is just starting to learn how to swim, by himself, and he just loves bouncing and playing in the water.
Whether they're in Malibu or Herne Hill, lifeguards know they're cool.
Didn't Evian step in and save Brockwell Lido some years ago? Surely that kind of philanthropic marketing is more productive (to all parties) than block buying airspace on digital stations that no one watches. Talk about brand loyalty... if a company actually made a significant difference to my life in this way, i'd offer loyalty beyond reason, to quote Kevin 'Lovemarks' Roberts.

One of the highlights of my time working in London a few years back was going to the Serpentine Lido. Idylic doesn't do it justice. Amazingly not one person in the agency i was working at even new there was a lido in the park.
