I am a newbie for this kind of blogging. Pls try to visit mine at http://oakieoakie.blogspot.com. I did execute. Thanks.

Used to make my "action man" hang like that. Used to horrify my mum. I think I may have said something like that back then too:

MUM: What the bloody hell to you think your doing?

ME (about 8yrs old): Mum, he's got a plan! He's got an enemy Mum!

DAD (from off, in deep scottish accent): Well he should bloody well execute them both. Get down here. Tea's ready.

One of the finest examples of zeugma I've seen in a long while.

Ladies and Gentlemen - Mr Dylan Trees wins the First Annual Know Your Rhetorical Terms Prize.

Respect.

I had to Google it.

Brilliant!

Thanks -- I needed that.

When did you adopt the "Head on" slogan as your own? Some of us may be more disappointed than you are, in this instance.

I love that poster too. Such a terrible line, and no doubt a good indicator of the book's literary style, and probably very appealing to the Andy McNabb/Dan Brown target market.
I was going to work it into a question in my pub quiz (see http://landor-quiz.blogspot.com), but in the end felt that it might be too arcane. Perhaps next month if the posters stay up...
