I've just been to see Adrian Tempany interviewed by Danny Kelly at the Stoke Newington Litfest. They were both extraordinarily good, talking about difficult stuff with appropriate weight but not descending into gloom. They were talking about Adrian's book And The Sun Shines Now: How Hillsborough and The Premier League Changed Britain which I downloaded earlier in the week and powered through in a couple of evenings.
It's very good. Thoughtful, powerful, inspiring. If you're in any way interested in sport and community and culture you should read it. I started trying to write a blogpost about it but I realised it was going to be glib. I need more time to think about it, but I'm going to try and do that.
