About seven years ago I wrote a post called 'How To Be Interesting'. I've, sort of, been regreting it ever since. It's just such a hostage to fortune - lends itself so easily to a one-word dismissive review.
But, secretly, I still think there's something in it. There's something useful about looking at the world that way - especially for people who want interesting employment (and are lucky enough to have the choice).
Anyway, the Do Lectures lot have been asking me if I'd do one of their workshops and it struck me that doing 'How To Be Interesting' as a day might work.

There is obviously no big secret to it. I don't even have an especially cogent theory (boiling it down, I'd say being interesting means being interested in things and being good at communicating those interests) but I've got some good chat around the idea and some good exercises to do (see below).
So, if you fancy practising your presenting, writing, noticing and sharing it might be the sort of thing for you.
More importantly it's in a completely gorgeous location, the food will be fantastic, it's not an absolute fortune (£200) and only ten people get to come so you won't get lost in a crowd.
It's June 27th. Near Cardigan. More details.
